Fun Activity to Do With Your Kids

Supplies:

    • Big sheets of paper or poster boards
    • Crayons or Markers

Activity Directions:

Tell you child you want them to draw a picture of anything they want with lots of detail and color. Do not give them any direction. At the same time you draw a picture with the same guidelines. You can set a timer for 15 to 30 minutes, less time for younger kids.

Once you are both finished, find a comfortable place to sit next to each other and together create a story about the pictures you drew. Make it fun and creative. Perhaps, you can write while you both share the story. Once you have finished the story, put the drawing and the written words in a place for safe keeping. In time, it will be fun to look back and remember what you created together.
