Cindy Wechsler, APRN - Bridging the Gap Between Integrative & Conventional Pediatric Medicine Since 1990

Cindy_WechslerHi, I'm Cindy and I thank you for visiting my website. I am a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) and have been caring for children and their families for 30 years. I help parents who choose to embrace the use of evidence based natural remedies and alternative therapies to foster lifelong wellness of their children, thus bridging the gap between integrative and conventional medicine.

I embrace each patient by considering all elements of lifestyle including birth history, diet and nutrition, sleep hygiene, environmental exposure, psychosocial factors and genetics. With the rise in chronic conditions and autoimmune diseases, my goal is to help your child build a strong foundation for optimal growth and development. I believe utilizing healthy foods, positive lifestyle habits, alternative therapies and natural medicines complimentary with conventional medicine when appropriate are the key habits to reducing illness and long term chronic health issues.

Throughout my career, I have been effective at the reduction and avoidance of medication use in the treatment of many conditions including but not limited to colic, ear infections and upper respiratory infections as well as constipation (one of the most common pediatric and adult chronic conditions). In addition, my own son was diagnosed with asthma and ADHD at an early age and he thrived without the use of medication by following an integrative approach.

I am the mother of two healthy, well-adjusted young adults. I am compassionate, non-judgmental and caring and believe that every parent knows their child best. I listen and work collaboratively with the parent to determine the best care for their children. When I am not in the office, you can find me training at the gym, cooking and revamping recipes, or enjoying the great outdoors.

Philosophy of Hippocrates

My belief that all diseases begin in the gut and philosophy of "let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food," follows that of Hippocrates, the father of medicine.
